Eye - Hey, Ho! Nobody Home

Eye - The MIDI music above is available to download or to play directly if your Web browser is configured to play this MIME type. Note that you need to have properly configured MIDI hardware and software to play MIDI files.
Except where noted, the MIDI music files on this page were downloaded from various online sources including Internet, Compuserve and America Online. Except where noted, I did not produce these files; I just like them very much and believe others will too. All credits are gratefully extended to the composers, artists and MIDI musicians who produced these excellent selections and placed them online to be "freely distributed." Thank you.
All MIDI files are in "GM" (General MIDI) format. Some of them employ the extended "GS" (General Standard) format of the Roland Sound Canvas. MIDI files in GS format will play on basic General MIDI hardware but will lack the extended special effects and sound quality that the GS MIDI musician intended. For more information about GS MIDI, including other fine examples of GS MIDI music files, I suggest you visit the following two Web sites:
- Sound Canvas Users Group (original works by GS musicians)
- MIDI Station (One Stop Center for All Types of MIDI)

Eye - The graphics and background on this page were produced by Richard McGoey. They were optimized to look best on screens that display in High Color mode (16-bit / 65K colors) or better. Although the graphics will display in 8-bit / 256 color mode, dithering and color degradation will be apparent.

How to configure your browser to directly play these MIDI music files:
This page can act like a Juke Box if your browser is configured properly. You can begin a song playing then continue to Cybersurf with the song playing in the background. Here is an example of how to configure the NCSA Mosaic browser to do this:
  • Select Preferences / Viewers from the Mosaic browser's menu.
  • Then select "Add new MIME type".
  • Complete the fields with the information below.
  • Associate MIME Type of: audio/midi
  • Description of MIME Type: MIDI audio
  • With this/these extensions: .mid
  • To this application: C:\Windows\MPlayer /play /close

Note that the procedure for your browser, hardware and software may differ.

Microsoft Internet Explorer is already configured correctly.
